Bella’s in Clayton is just a few miles away and a couple doors down from the St. Lawrence Spirits tasting room. It’s got a great atmosphere and even better food – which is impressive for a place that sits on the river near Lake Ontario.

Clayton is a cute little town, like something from a Hallmark movie. There are small boutiques, gift shops, restaurants, ice cream shops a hardware store, and home to one of my other favorite foods – cheese. I never miss a visit to the River Rat Cheese store. If you can think of a type of cheese, they have it – they have cheese that has been aged over 20 years!

Side note – Clayton is also home to a lighthouse that sits where St. Larwrence River meets Lake Ontario. You can see Canada from NY. It’s pretty neat to know you are that close to another country, all that separates you is a body of water.
